Senior Residential Support Worker - Band 5

We are recruiting for full time Senior Support Workers for a specialist Children's Residential Home for children aged 12 – 17 including unaccompanied minors based North Belfast.

 

Working in residential childcare is necessarily child-focused. It involves getting to know new children and helping them begin to feel secure, then providing ongoing care and support to build their confidence and teach coping skills, providing practical and emotional support across a number of areas including health and wellbeing, education, training and employment and transition to independence or return to family.  

 

Band 5 – Rota includes day, evening, weekend and Sleep In shift.

£13.84 - DAY

£17.99 – NIGHT/SAT

£22.14 – SUN- PUB HOL

£70.00 – Sleep In

Must be NISCC registered, able to drive and undertake additional test, min 1 years Residential Care experience

 Aran House is part of the Glenmona Campus supporting unaccompanied minors generally of north African origins and mainly male at present. Experience working in an environment understanding of cultural differences and diversity would be helpful.

 Criteria:

• 1 years experience working with children and young people in residential or community care.
• Live on NISCC register
• Relevant degree or Health and Social Care qualification
• You will be willing to complete an Enhanced Access NI check through Keenan in advance of start date.
