Band 7 Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist

Now recruiting on behalf of the Northern Trust for Band 7 Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist to be based in Ballymoney. 37.5 hours per week, starting ASAP.

Job Summary:

To provide psychological interventions to adults (18 and over) experiencing problems in their mental health and well-being, referred to the Trust’s Psychological Therapies Service. To provide assessment and therapy to individuals and – where appropriate – to groups, offer advice and consultation on clients’ mental health care to non-PTS colleagues, non-professional carers and relevant agencies/ organisations, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service’s operational procedures and protocols.

Experience:

Experience in providing a direct psychological therapy service to adults with acute, chronic and complex mental health problems.

Qualifications/ Registration:

Professional qualification in clinical or counselling psychology and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) by time of appointment.*

*Trainee Clinical/Counselling Psychologists due to qualify and be registered with HCPC by 31 October 2019 are eligible to apply.
